FAQ

What types of sessions do you offer?

I specialize in portrait photography including families, children, seniors, milestone sessions, maternity, and couples. A favorite of mine has become glamour portraits which are similar to beauty or fashion portaits, but I emphasize dramatic lighting and color to produce shockingly awesome results!

Where do the sessions take place?

Sessions can be held at my home studio in Post Falls, Idaho or at any outdoor location you can think of. I can help recommend locations based on the look you’re going for, or we can go to your favorite spot!

How long does a typical session last?

Each session is different, and it can vary quite a bit. Please see each session’s description for more information. Additonally, many sessions are eligible for time extensions if you wish.

What should we wear?

This is one of the most common questions I get! For most sessions, we will collaborate on themes, sets and wardrobe a few days before each shoot. Some of my sessions, like my Extended Pro Headshots or Extended Glamour Portaits include consultation with a professional wardrobe stylist, plus hair & makeup.

Do you provide props or backdrops?

I do provide backdrops and some props for studio sessions! I have a variety of backdrops and props to fit your vision. For outdoor sessions, we focus more on natural interaction and scenery.

When will we receive our photos?

Each type of session is different. For example, I can get mini session albums ready faster than I can get an extended glamour portrait session produced. Each customer receives a password protected online gallery with ultra-high resoution digital images. Please see your session’s contract for specifics on delivery timelines. Rush delivery is available for an additional fee.

Can I print my photos anywhere?

Of course you can! Let me tell you something though, I have spent years developing my in-house print studio to develop the absolute highest quality photos with the longest lasting materials. My print studio began as a giclée fine art photo print shop for my landscape photos.

I use professional archival pigment ink in 13 colors along with the highest quality fine art photo paper to give you prints like you have never seen before. Taking your photos to the drug store is fine if you want 20 wallet prints for the family, but if you want to hang a portrait on your wall, and display it for anyone in your home to see, you will want something as elegant and sophisticated as possible.

I do include personal use print releases with all of my non-commercial sessions. Commercial sessions still get print releases, but they’re a bit more in-depth.

What if it rains or someone gets sick?

Each contract addresses this specifically pertaining to that session type. Typically, I can shoot rain or shine, but sometimes the weather just doesn’t want us to shoot that day!

Do you offer retouching?

Yes! My unique editing style and expert retouching (light skin smoothing, color correction, blemish removal) is included. Please review my portfolio carefully, as there is a specific style and method to my edits. I produce true-to-life color while focusing on image sharpness to achieve my results. I do not do “light and airy” edits.

Do you photograph weddings or events?

I do not. Weddings are a specialized event that I am not currently offering services for.
